NORTH CAROLINA: Youth Pastor Arrested For Attempted Indecent Liberties

Thomas Lee Elliott, a Baptist Church Youth Minister  was arrested for solicitation of a child by computer to commit an unlawful sex act and attempted indecent liberties with a minorGreensboro, NC-- A Baptist Church Youth Minister spend part of Thursday in the Guilford County Jail instead of church. The Guilford County Sheriff's Office arrested Thomas Lee Elliott of Roseboro, NC for solicitation of a child by computer to commit an unlawful sex act and attempted indecent liberties with a minor.

Investigators said the arrest comes after a month long investigation in which Elliott communicated with an undercover deputy he thought was fourteen year old female. They said Elliott set up a meeting with the undercover deputy for the purpose of a sexual encounter.

Deputies were able to determine during their investigation, that Elliott was a youth pastor at the Autryville Baptist Church.

After his arrest Wednesday, Elliott was placed in the Guilford Jail under a $25,000 bond.
