Spokesperson Debbie Tanna said members of the S.B.I and the North Carolina Internet Crimes against Children Task Force arrested 35-year-old Jonathan Winfield Rose of the 100 block of Dakota Trail in Edenton, North Carolina, Monday.

Tanna said Rose worked as a music/children's minister at the Rocky Hock Baptist Church in Edenton. That’s in Chowan County.

Investigators say Rose engaged in illegal conversations with children via his computer. He's charged with solicitation of a child by computer to commit unlawful sex acts.

Tanna said Rose was communicating with a person he believed was a 13-year-old female.
